The body of Hadisur Rahman, the third engineer of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) vessel – Banglar Samriddhi, will reach Dhaka on Sunday night.
He was killed in a rocket attack on the vessel stranded at a Ukraine port on March 2.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Merchant Marine Officers Association Shakawat Hossain said a Turkish Airlines flight carrying the body and other passengers will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) around 8.00pm.
Earlier, 28 surviving crew members of the vessel arrived in Dhaka from Bucharest in Romania on Wednesday noon.
A rocket hit the vessel that left vessel’s third engineer Hadisur Rahman, hailing from Betagi upazila in Barguna district, dead on the spot.
