Nineteen people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in this afternoon.
The death rate stands at 1.44 percent and the total number of deaths has now reached 6,159 with 19 more deaths, said the press release.
1,767 new infections were recorded in the meantime, taking the total number of people infected to 4,28,965, added the release.
A total of 13,539 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
At least 1,519 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, added the release.
