Bangladesh recorded 35 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths and 2,525 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of deaths has now reached 6,644 and the death rate stands at 1.43 percent.
The recovery count rose to 3,80,711 after another 2,539 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period, added the release.
A total of 15,372 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
Among the 35 deceased, 24 were men and 11 women, said the release.
