Denis Giles, Port Blair: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators has called upon the Secretary Tourism, A&N Administration to extend the time frame of RT-PCR Test for the incoming passengers from the present 48 hours to 72 hours.
In a letter the Secretary Tourism, the President AATO, Shri M Vinod that currently, the time limit for RT-PCR test before coming to the islands is within 48 hrs before the departure time for the flight to Port Blair. It is our humble request that the same may be increased to within 72 hours before the departure time for two prime reasons:
This will hand sufficient time frame to passengers coming via connecting flights from cities not directly connected to Port Blair via air. It would also augment the influx of tourists to the islands, which is the need of the hour. @Andaman Chronicle
