Denis Giles, Port Blair: The District Administration in its continuous efforts to contain the spread of the pandemic has been actively promoting vaccination for all Islanders. In order to protect the Children of the Child Care Institutions in and around South Andaman, the Administration has conducted vaccination drives for the Children between age group 15 years to 18 years at the Institutions.
The mobile vaccination team carried out vaccination of Children in the following Child Care Institutions i.e., Abhyudaya Children Home, Divyang Children Home, Calvary Children Home, Love Children Home, Bethany Children Home, Balika Niketan, Capstone Children Home, Panab Kanya Sangh, Seva Niketan and Darussalam Yatheem Khana.
Shri. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, ADM (South Andaman) and Shri. Dilkush Meena, IAS, SDM (SA) monitored the vaccination drive conducted at the CCIs and ensured vaccination is conducted as per guidelines and also interacted with the vaccinated Children.
The staff of District Child Protection Unit, South Andaman District accompanied the vaccination team and ensured that children are not facing any difficulties during and after vaccination. The children of all CCIs were vaccinated in order to prevent spread of the virus to Children.
