Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh national volleyball team clinched bronze in the five-nation Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Volleyball League 2022, organized by Pakistan Volleyball Federation, after beating Sri Lanka by 3-2 sets in a place decider held on November 29 at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Lahore there.
The hosts Pakistan clinched the title beating Iran by 3-1 sets in the final at the same venue on the same day.
Bangladesh earlier earned only points from one win and three defeats in the round robin group affairs. They beat Afghanistan by 3-1 sets while conceded defeats to Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Iran by 0-3, 2-3 and 0-3 sets.
Bangladesh’s Md Shaon Ali adjudged the best libero of the tournament.
Meanwhile, a-17 member Bangladesh national volleyball team arrived Dhaka on Thursday.
