Entertainment News Desk: An eight-day theatre festival titled ‘Kendrio Barshik Natya Utsab 2022’ began at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday. Theatre and Performance Studies of the university has organised the festival.
Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the festival as the chef guest on Thursday evening.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Dhaka University Prof ASM Maksud Kamal attended the programme as the special guest with Theatre and Performance Studies Department Chairman Md. Ashikur Rahman in the chair.
Eminent actor, politician and cultural personality Asaduzzaman Noor received the special honour at the opening day of the festival.
The 16th season of the festival is featuring 16 theatre productions that are directed by the final year students of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies.
The staging starts every day at 6:30pm at the TSC auditorium. The festival will end on December 8 with the play ‘Mohua’.
