Dhaka Office: A fire broke out at a warehouse for fabric scraps, known as ‘jhut’, in Konabari area of Gazipur on Thursday afternoon.
The fire originated at the warehouse of Sharif in Arambag area around 3:30pm.
Being informed, five units of firefighters rushed to the spot and controlled the blaze with an effort of three hours.
Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service Abdullah Al Arefin confirmed the news.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
