Sports News Desk: Bangladesh was supposed to play a full series against Afghanistan in July this year. Tigers were expected to play two Test matches, three ODIs and three T20Is after the conclusion of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup but it will now be played at some other point of time.
The decision has been taken with the consent of the cricket boards of the two countries.
“The away series against Afghanistan will be rescheduled after both boards agreed to play the series at some other point of time, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) operations chairman Jalal Yunus said.
According to FTP, Bangladesh was supposed to play 12 Tests this year. The two Tests of the Zimbabwe series have already been postponed. As a result, there were 10 more tests left. Now the Tigers will play only 8 Tests if not 2 Tests in Afghanistan series this year.
