A seven-day long inter-university online cultural festival titled ‘Srezon Chhonde Anonde’ will begin on September 1.
With the slogan, ‘Shouharde Shompritite Sangskriti’, ‘Rhythm’, a Jahangirnagar University (JU)-based cultural organisation will organise the festival through online media. Convener of the festival Nafiz Zamal Arnob confirms it to The Independent on Sunday. Talking to this correspondent, he said, “For the first time we are going to organise such an exceptional cultural festival during the covid-19 pandemic. As the universities are now closed, we are carrying out our cultural practice through such types of programme’.
“The motto of our programme is to create an amicable environment between the cultural activists of different cultural organisations of universities during the unexpected covid-19 pandemic. The festival will be featured as song, recitation, music contests, mime, short film, drama, dance and performance of noted artistes across the country”, he said.
“Our events will begin 8pm from September 1 through online that will continue till 11pm every day during the festival. Our performers and participants will join through online that will be telecast live in our official social site”’, he further added.
The programme will end on September 7. The Independent is media partner of the festival.
