Sector-4 commander of the Liberation War, retired major general Chitta Ranjan Dutta (Bir Uttam), popularly known as CR Dutta, passed away in Florida, USA on Tuesday. He was 93.
The veteran freedom fighter breathed his last at a hospital in Florida at 9:30 am while undergoing treatment.
He left behind two daughters, a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
