23 more die, 1,203 newly infected, 1,453 recover in 24 hours
Dhaka: Twenty-three people died from Covid-19 in the country over the last 24 hours, taking the tally 5,500 and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 1,203 new infections were recorded in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 3,77,073, added the release.
A total of 10,859 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 1,453 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.
The total number of recoveries stands at 2,91,365 and the recovery rate at 77.27 percent. UNB
