Considering the coronavirus pandemic, the government is likely to ease age limit for recruiting freshers into government services.
An official of the Public Administration Ministry confirmed the information, saying a summery in this regard has already been sent to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The official also said those who have completed their 30 on March 25 or later will be allowed to apply for the government jobs in the next 5 months. But he didn’t reveal any certain timeframe.
“The decision will be finalized after getting approval from the Prime Minister,” he added.
According to the ministry, the government offices could not publish any recruitment circular in recent months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
During this period, many job seekers have been ineligible for government jobs due to the prevailing age restrictions.
Now the job seekers are likely to enjoy a 5-month age exemption that would make them eligible for government jobs until August. UNB
