Legendary Bangladeshi singer Andrew Kishore passed away this evening after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was 64.
The multiple National Film Awards-winning singer, who was fondly called the ‘king of playback’ by his fans, breathed his last at a private clinic in Rajshahi on Monday evening around 7pm.
Debuted with a playback song in the film ‘Mail Train’, Kishore had lent his vocal to over 15000 songs for the country’s film industry.
Kishore had been undergoing treatment at a clinic which is owned by his sister Shikha Biswas in his hometown Rajshahi.
