Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID) on Friday honoured valiant freedom fighters from across the country.
Honoured braved freedom fighters are Professor SM Mannan (sector -8), advocated Aktaruzzaman (sector-11), Md Anisur Rahman (sector -9), Ainuddin Ahmed (sector -3), Md Abdul Gaffar (sector -6) and Md Mahbub Alam (sector-8).
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque graced the occasion as the chief guest while BALID chairman Muhammad Hossam Haider Chowdhury presided over it, said a press release. BALID secretary general Sasanka Kumar Singha delivered welcome address.
In his speech, the minister appreciated the initiative of BALID to honour the brave freedom fighters. He presented the commemorative crests and certificates among the brave freedom fighters and essay and quiz competition winning children.
