BSS, Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by
temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued here today.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded 37.0 degrees Celsius in the capital while today’s minimum temperature was 23.0 degrees Celsius at Netrokona in Mymensingh division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 45 millimeters (mm) at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:6 pm today and rises at 5:44 am tomorrow in the capital.
