Also, export of the country grew by 30.85 percent to $33.84 billion in eight months of the 2021-’22 fiscal year.
Items such as knitwear, woven, agricultural products, leather and leather goods and home textiles continued to drive the growth.

Two other major export sectors, agricultural; and leather & leather products, also saw 28.36 percent and 29.61 percent growths during the period.
“February is a month comprising 28 days. Besides, there were 4 holidays which is why Bangladesh’s shipment declined during this month,” Shahidullah Azim, vice president of BGMEA, told the Business Insider Bangladesh.
“Bangladesh’s export trend stands on a steady growth line. As the country is playing in the global market, it has to deal with global issues. So sometimes we may experience lower export but it is not a worrisome issue,” Muhammad Hatem, Executive president of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) told the Business Insider Bangladesh.
