Clashes between activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) broke out for the second day in Dhaka University area on Thursday.
Leaders and activists of JCD, student front of BNP, brought out a procession from the High Court area at around 12:00 as part of its pre-announced programme and marched towards the Doyel Chattar on DU campus.
As they reached the area activists of BCL, student wing of ruling Awami League, swooped on them, triggering a chase and counter-chase between them.
Earlier on Tuesday, the activists of both the student wings locked in a similar clash on the DH campus that left at least 30 activists injured.
The student wings activists were seen carrying sticks and stones and locked into the clash wearing helmets.
Police have detained three JCD activists following the clash while no case has yet been lodged in this connection, Moudut Hawladar, officer-in-charge of Shabagh Police Station told the media.
