Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Novoair, a private airline, signed a SRA (Special Reprotection Agreement) for transporting each other’s passengers in domestic routes.
Mohammad Ali Osman Noor, deputy general manager (Pricing and RMS) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, and Mes-bah-ul Islam, head of marketing and sales of Novoair, signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations at the head office of the national flag carrier, in the capital on Wednesday, according to a press statement.
Mokabbir Hossain, managing director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Mofizur Rahman, managing director of Novoair, and senior officials of the both airlines were present.
Under the agreement, both the airlines will carry each other’s passengers to their domestic destinations in the event of flight disruption or delay. Passengers travelling to both of the airlines international destinations will also be similarly facilitated under the SRA.
Speaking on the occasion, Mokabbir Hossain, managing director and CEO, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said, “I am delighted to have entered into such an agreement with Novoair. I hope passengers of both the carriers will be highly benefited by this initiative.”
Mofizur Rahman, managing director of Novoair said, “I am proud to have entered into such an agreement with the national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines. We hope that the passengers will get better service as a result of such mutual cooperation. Novoair and Biman Bangladesh Airlines will work together in future for the development of the country’s aviation sector.”
