Political News Desk: The leaders and activists of the banned organization Chhatra League looted the country, and they are now committing many anti-state acts from Kolkata.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said this at a regular press briefing at Foreign Service Academy on Tuesday.
About the attacks on minorities, Shafiqul Alam said, “Minorities are not being attacked, but some attacks were held on Awami League office-bearers. However, whatever the reason, we are taking those as crimes seriously.”
A total of 88 cases have been filed in incidents related to the minorities from August 5 to October 22 this year while 70 people were arrested in connection with those incidents.
The press secretary said, “There will be an international conference on the Rohingya issue in Bangladesh around September-October 2025.”
In the press conference, he said, the prices of everything have started to come down.
Azad Majumder, deputy press secretary to the chief advisor, said, “The government is working to evacuate diplomats from the Awami League government.”
