Port Blair: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma during his meeting with the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Jitendra Narain on Monday highlighted the problems being faced by dozens of students of Little Andaman Islands, who are unable to reach Port Blair to appear in NEET exam scheduled on 12 September 2021.
During the meeting, the Member of Parliament also pointed out that after the reopening of local colleges, college students from Little Andaman are also facing similar problems and are unable to reach Port Blair to attend the college.
The Member of Parliament requested the Chief Secretary to operate a special vessel on 9th September 2021 from Port Blair to Little Andaman so that these students can be brought to Port Blair.
Taking immediate action the Chief Secretary directed the concerned authorities to operate a special ferry from Port Blair to Little Andaman on 9th September 2021 for the benefit of these students.
