Kishoreganj, Bangladesh: A daylong training workshop to increase the capacity of journalists in preparing human rights reports effectively was held in Kishoreganj.
Bangladesh Manobadhikar Sangbadik Forum (BMSF) in cooperation with Bangladesh NGO Forum and The Ministry of Finance organised the training for working journalists held at Hotel Sheraton on Thursday.
Md Shamsul Haque, Senior District Information Officer, was present as chief guest at the training programme. Khairuzzaman Kamal, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Treasurer and BMSF Secretary General, was present as the special guest. Senior journalist Saiful Haque Dulu of Kishoreganj presided over the programme.
Nasreen Geeti, News Editor of Daily Adhikaran, and Ahamad Ullah, Senior Reporter of Daily Sun, conducted the training workshop as trainers.
In his speech, the chief guest said “This workshop on human rights is very timely. I think you will learn a lot through this workshop. Which will play an important role in your journalism career.”
Ashraful Islam, Kishoreganj correspondent of Daily Manabzamin and Coordinator of BMSF, coordinate the training.
A total of 26 journalists from print, online and electronic media participated in the workshop.
