The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has expressed hope that the number of dengue patients may decline at the end of August and situation may improve.
Responding to a question of a journalist on dengue test, MIS Department line director of the DGHS Prof Shahadat Hossain came up with this information in a virtual press briefing of the DGHS on Sunday regarding the ongoing dengue infection of the country.
The DGHS said it is observed that any disease spreads at its highest level during its outbreak and later declines gradually. But it cannot be happened every year. In October last year, the dengue infection declined. But this can be happened in August this year. If it is possible to check the infection in August, hope dengue cases will decrease to some extent and a comfort situation will prevail.
