Psychological Health Club, Bangladesh was launched in Dhaka to raise awareness about psychological health across the country
UNB: Experts have stressed the need to improve psychological health for a sustainable development of the country as understanding the issue is a must.
They made the observation while speaking at a launching ceremony of Psychological Health Club, Bangladesh at a restaurant in Dhaka on Saturday, said a press release.
A nine-member Adhoc Committee was formed at the ceremony to formulate the constitution of the Club and to figure out the next course of action.
The main objective of the club is to create awareness about psychological health among people irrespective of ages across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, the experts vowed to work together in creating awareness among people about psychological health across the country, especially among the younger generation, the release added.
Shakowath Sharif, a psychology expert, presided over the ceremony.
Among others, former lawmaker Mr. Golam Mawla Rony and Deputy Secretary of Education Ministry Md. Abdul Rahim was present at the launching ceremony.
As many as 25 people were present in the ceremony from different backgrounds including doctors, development activists, lawyers, journalists and businessmen.
