Port Blair: A seminar was organized by Jamaat-e-islami Hind, Andaman zone women’s wing at TGCE Auditorium, Port Blair on 27th February 2021 at 6:30pm as a part of its nation-wide campaign “Strong family Strong society”.
The gathering was welcomed by Mrs. Ashifa Yunus, Member, Girls Islamic Organisation Andaman zone. She also gave a brief introduction of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women’s wing and its daughter Organisation Girls Islamic Organisation.
Mrs Anuradha Lal, Vice President, Gandhi Global society Andaman spoke on the various facets of family life. She advocated to imbibe the qualities of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a husband and as a family man. She also said that even though Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) was the leader of a big nation then to he used to do his own household chores and he empathized with the weak and loved everyone.
Dr Sarabjit Kaur, Principal, Khalsa Public School emphasized the need to inculcate moral values among the children. She urged the audience to immerse themselves in social causes for building a strong society.
Mrs Sajida Zubair, Vice President, JIH Women’s Wing Andaman Zone explained the challenges faced by families in general and the status of families here in particular. She also emphasized the importance of families coming together and working towards making the society peaceful.
A documentary on the topic of the campaign was also screened in the program. The impact of dispute between the parents, alcoholism and other issues on the children and the society was the theme of the documentary. In the documentary renowned educationalists, lawyers and religious leaders from the islands and across the country expressed their concern on the growing cases of family disputes.
The seminar concluded with the final word by MK Mohammed, President JIH Andaman zone. He urged his fellow islanders to come forward and work together in making our island a better place to live by inculcating moral and social values in our family and society. @andamanchronicle
