BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is set to return home on Thursday afternoon after the completion of a regular health check-up at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
She will be taken home around 3 pm, said BNP Media Cell member Shamsuddin Didar.
The former prime minister was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Sunday (April 30).
She was taken to the hospital for regular check up on that day and admitted there as per the suggestions of her physicians.
BNP chairperson has been suffering from various health complications including arthritis, diabetes, dental and eye problems for many years.
In April 2021, she was infected with coronavirus.
Earlier on March 25, 2020, amid the coronavirus outbreak, the government temporarily freed Khaleda Zia from jail through an executive order suspending her sentence, on conditions that she would stay at her Gulshan house, and would not leave the country.
