Bangladesh News Desk: The main Eid-ul-Fitr jamaat (congregation) will be held at National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the capital after two years of the closure due to coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic.
The Eid congregation at National Eidgah will be held at 8:30am if the weather is favourable.
However, if the weather is inclement, the main Eid congregation will be held at 9:00am at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting held at the Secretariat on Tuesday to determine the programme of the government for the celebration of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan presided over the meeting.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest festival of Muslims, will be celebrated on May 2 or 3 subject to moon sighting.
