As per information received often the residents are not able to make even emergency calls. This newspaper had reported about this issue a few months back but till now situation has not improved.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted Mr. Raja Ram Mohan, Chief General Manager of BSNL A & N Circle, he said that BSNL is aware about the network problems of Beodnabad area and BSNL has already carried out a physical survey in that area.
“Its matter of light network coverage in the area and the coverage is also reflection incidental, coverage of tower signal is from Brichgunj BTS 2 and from Burmanallah BTS-1. We have found that the Beodnabad area was the center point of Burmanallah and Chidiya Tapu. In which we need to install a new BTS System in the area,” the Chief General Manager.
About installation of new BTS for Beodnabad area, the CGM said that the matter is not in the hand of BSNL A & N Circle. “We are dependent upon corporate office, where we have already placed demand for equipments.
