Denis Giles, Port Blair: Sahitya Akademi’s Kolkata Regional Office has decided to publish a book containing poems/short stories/essays written by Andaman’s Bengali Writers. For this purpose, Shri Anadiranjan Biswas, General Council Member of Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi as well as Member of the Bengali Advisory Board, Kolkata has been entrusted to collect the manuscripts from Andaman’s Bengali Writers.
Those who are interested to become a part of this prestigious collection of Sahitya Akademi, may send their writings in hard copy (10 poems and/or 5 short stories and/or 5 essays to the maximum, of each writer) to the following address by registered/speed post or courier: Shri Anadiranjan Biswas (Member, Sahitya Akademi), C/o Baakprotima, Junglighat (SBI Building), Junglighat, Port Blair-744103, South Andaman. Soft copy may also be sent via e-mail in protected document format (PDF) to the following e-mail ID: anadiranjan1960@gmail.com.
Last date of receiving the entries is 31st December 2021 (without any time extension). It may be noted that final selection of writings/writers shall be made by the Sahitya Akademi, Kolkata Regional Office.
