Ministry of Religious Affairs will return money beyond spent amount to Hajj pilgrims who performed Hajj under government management this year.
Due to decreasing price of food and hajj package, the pilgrims will be returned Tk 46,725 each.
Some pilgrims have already withdrawn the money. The rest of the pilgrims have been requested to apply to the ministry.
A notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Moniruzzaman has been issued in this regard on Thursday.
Pilgrims who performed Hajj in 2023 did not receive Tk 25, 000 payable to them for reduction in food cost and hajj package have been asked to apply to Religious Minister for the same. The pilgrims have been asked to write their names, PID number, mobile number, account number, bank name, branch name, and routing number on cheques to apply for the money.
