Denis Giles, Port Blair: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,94,784 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23932 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 747 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 178643.
A total of 2178 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated in Andaman and Nicobar Islands while the beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 2058 today. As per the District wise data received from DHS, 1282 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which, 11 beneficiaries were above 18 years and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 1235.
In North and Middle Andaman District 491 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 1 beneficiary was above 18 years and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 487.
In Nicobar District 405 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 3 beneficiaries were above 18 years and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 336.
