Yousef SY Ramadan: Silence becomes complicity when you see the horrific videos and pictures of the Palestinian martyrs in the cold-blooded and deliberate criminal bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, targeting innocent civilians, including children and women.
The scenes are horrific. The silence is deafening.More than 500 innocent civilians were eliminated by bombing the hospital yesterday. A hospital! No one can even comprehend this. It is unprecedented in human history. Whoever says that Israel has the right to “defend” itself does not have a shred of humanity left in him.
This is exactly what America meant when it provided full support to the Israeli regime, and this is exactly what the countries that claim to be defenders of human rights wanted this Zionist regime to do. Israel spread a sea of blood for Biden to step on instead of the red carpet.
The governments of the countries that failed to adopt yesterday’s Security Council resolution calling for an end to the genocide on the Gaza Strip, are all complicit and guilty of aiding and abetting genocide.
You have enabled Israel to commit its massacres. Your only approach is killing and destruction. For those who falsely declare their global mission to protect democratic values, we tell them that these are crimes against humanity, this is genocide of the Palestinian people.
More than 4,000 Palestinians face death due to the continuous bombing by Israeli forces with American warplanes and ammunition. More than two million Palestinians face starvation and dehydration.
They are now without shelter, without electricity, without medicine, and without their family members. They smell nothing but the smell of death.
Where is the anger of the international community? The martyrdom of about 4,000 Palestinians so far at the hands of Zionist forces is not enough to anger you. The failure of the Zionist government to respond to the timid demands of the international community to stop the genocide and allow the entry of aid is not enough to anger you.
Is the Palestinian child less than any other child? Stop genocide. Stop apartheid. Stop ethnic cleansing. Where are the slogans of defending peace and upholding justice? Where is international law and where are Western governments?
To the media, I say: You have misled public opinion and distorted the truth. You must expose the horrific war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza. So you don’t have to apologize to your viewers again. And so that you preserve the covenant of your fellow martyrs.
Yesterday, Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said the only thing that should enter Gaza is “hundreds of tons of explosives” from the Israeli Air Force, and “not one ounce of humanitarian aid.” This is the true face of Israel, its partners, and their extremist governments.
We do not say this lightly. We are aware of the weight of this crime, and the danger of the plans drawn up to displace our people. If you want to kill us, kill us. We will not leave.
