Bhubaneswar In case of 378 new cases of covid-19 in Odisha , infection cases in the state increased to 3,19,103 on Tuesday. At the same time, after the death of five more people, the death toll increased to 1,744. A state health officer said that out of the new cases, 219 cases were reported in separate centers. At the same time, 159 other people were found to be infected while identifying those who came in contact with the already infected people.
The official said that the maximum number of 38 cases occurred in Angul district. This was followed by 37 cases in Khurda and 34 in Mayurbhanj. He said that three people died due to the virus in Puri. At the same time, one person died in Khurda and Jagatsinghpur. In Odisha, 5,241 people are currently undergoing treatment for corona virus infection and 3,12,065 people have become infection free. The official said that the rate of infection of samples in the state is 5.37 percent. So far, a total of 59.4 lakh samples of Kovid-19 have been tested.
