Staff Reporter: Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk E Azam has said the interim government is considering to provide lifetime medical and other allowances for those who sustained injuries in the July mass uprising in 2024.
He said this while talking to the reporters after a meeting on providing support for the injured victims, and families of martyrs of the uprising at the Secretariat on Sunday, February 2.
This year, one-time savings certificate worth Tk 10 lakh will be purchased for each of the martyr’s families and the injured victims will be supported in various categories, Faruk E Azam said.
A total of Tk 232 crore has been allocated to support the injured, and martyrs of the uprising, he added.
“The matter of giving lifetime medical and other allowances for the injured is under government’s consideration,” the adviser also said.
