Agartala: There has been no respite from Covid death with three more Covid patients died in GBP hospital’s Covid Treatment Centre during the past 24 hours. With three more deaths, the Covid death toll has risen to 283, official sources confirmed here tonight.
Although there has been a little downfall in the per million test, three key parameters- positivity rate, fatality rate and recovery rates in judging the Covid scenario remain unchanged in the past 24 hours.
While the fatality rate stands at 1.09 percent, the recovery rate has been increased from 78.06 percent to 79 percent and positivity rate has been enhanced from 6.61 percent to 6.65 percent, according to sources in the Health department.
Till date, as many as 20,573 Covid patients have recovered till date while the state has 5184 Covid patients. The state’s Covid caseload stands at 26,066. “Overall the Covid-19 pandemic situation has been improved in the state during the past couple of days. It is true death is taking place but the number of fatalities has been reduced to a great extend. Our main objective is to zero down Covid death and doing all out effort to achieve the target”, said a senior Health department official here. Source: Tripurainfo
