The country’s only legal Direct-To-Home service provider Akash DTH reduced the connection fee by Tk 1,000, a press statement said.
Beximco Communications’ DTH brand Akash announced the price reduction on Saturday. From now on, each new connection of this modern TV service will cost Tk 4,499.
The company is also ensuring the health safety of the customer and installer in the highest order while doing installation of a new connection.
Muhammad Abul Khair Chowdhury, head of marketing and strategic sales of Akash DTH, said, Akash started its journey in May last year. It is now a very popular and reliable brand for its commitment and dedication to the customers.
“Television viewing time has risen with people staying home because of coronavirus pandemic. People now realise more how much they have been deprived of quality viewing with their conventional connection at home. As our distribution expands to all the part of Bangladesh, now more people will be able to enjoy our service beyond the district headquarters,” he said.
“This pandemic has taught us how precious it is to spend some quality time with our family and loved ones. In this backdrop, Akash DTH announced Tk 1,000 off on every new Akash connection,” Chowdhury added.
Interested customers can avail the new connections from authorised sales points or by calling 16442 or through online order on www.akashdth.com. The service provider will install the connections in the premises of the customers with full safety, precautions and care, the statement said.
This connection includes state of the art HD Set Top Box, user friendly multi-function remote control unit, heat and rain resistant Akash branded universal KU band dish, necessary cable and connectors and other accessories, the statement said.
Akash subscribers can watch 34 national and 89 international channels now with high quality picture and sound. All the channels are available for only Tk 399 monthly (including VAT) under their Akash standard package and Tk 250 monthly (including VAT) in their Akash lite package.
Subscribers also can take add on-packs according to their desire which brings flexibility to choose and select which is also a unique feature of Akash DTH and it’s not available for any other service provider, it added.
