Community News Desk: Bangladesh High Commissioner to Brunei Nahida Rahman Shumona recently participated in a captivating interactive session with primary students at Seri Mulia Sarjana International School.
The event aimed to foster cultural exchange, promote literacy, and strengthen collaboration between Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam.
Accompanied by the Principal and the Student Council, Shumona was warmly received at the school. She wholeheartedly engaged with the students, reading two captivating books during the session. The first book, “Mujib,” was a Graphic Novel that depicted the inspiring life of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The second book, The White Elephant was a folklore, from South Asia that tells about compassion and empathy.
As a gesture of goodwill and to promote reading culture, High Commissioner Shumona also presented a collection of books as a gift to the school library. This initiative aims to encourage students’ intellectual development and broaden their understanding of diverse cultures and experiences.
