Community News Desk: Stranded Bangladeshis in conflict-ridden Sudan have been requested to contact the hotline numbers of Bangladesh embassy in Sudan for evacuation.
Citizens have been asked to contact Third Secretary Ekramul Hoque at +234 909 755 1790 (WhatsApp) or Administrative Officer Md Jahangir Alam at +8801737125349 (WhatsApp) regarding the matter.
Many other countries, including the US, the UK, China, France, Saudi Arabia, and international organisations have been evacuating their diplomats and citizens as the Sudanese military and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been fighting in the capital Khartoum and surrounding areas since mid-April.
The conflict has already left at least 459 people killed and 4,072 injured, according to the World Health Organization.
Around 1,500 Bangladeshis have been stranded in Sudan amid bloody clashes. Many of them have appealed to the government to rescue them.
