BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been shifted to the cabin from the coronary care unit of the hospital after one month.
Earlier on 3 May, she was admitted to the Ever Care Hospital in the capital with breathing problems. She was undergoing treatment at the coronary care unit of the hospital.
Confirming the matter, AZM Zahid Hossain, vice-chairman of BNP and Khaleda Zia’s personal physician, said the BNP chairperson has been shifted to cabin from CCU on Thursday.
Zahid Hossain confirmed the matter to the media through BNP chairperson’s media wing member Shairul Kabir Khan.
Khaleda Zia was diagnosed with coronavirus on 11 April. At the preliminary stage, she received treatment at home. Later on 27 April, she was admitted to the non-Covid cabin of Ever Care Hospital.
Six days later she was moved to the CCU of the hospital due to breathing problems.
One of Khaleda Zia’s personal physicians said Khaleda Zia will be kept under observation.
BNP chairperson will be discharged from the hospital once the physicians are satisfied with her health improvement.
