SURYAKANT JENA, ODISHA: The Commissionerate Police on Wednesday confiscated a massive haul of fake currency notes with a face value of over Rs 7 lakh from a location in Odisha’s Capital city of Bhubaneswar.
Two accused have been arrested in connection with the case from Kharavel Nagar area of the city.
As per sources, all of the counterfeit currency notes are of Rs 200 denomination. Police have also seized some illegal currency printing materials like colours, paper and printer.
Police have started grilling the accused duo to elicit more information from them regarding their illegal business and how they came to set up the syndicate.
Besides, how many times they exchanged the duplicate notes in the market are also being verified.
