Community News Desk: E-passport programme for Bangladeshi expatriates in Malaysia will begin this year, Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur revealed this information.
A press release published on the High Commission’s official Facebook page stated this information on Saturday.
According to the release, the Bangladesh High Commission accepted some 1,25,000 passports from January to May this year. Of the passports, the process of 93,895 passports has been completed and 52,000 were delivered, and some 25,000 are under printing process at the Department of Immigration & Passports (DIP) in Dhaka.
It has been possible to process the flawless passport applications without any delay. The processing of passports got delayed to some extent due to closure of passport printing for 25 days. However, the complication has been resolved by the effort of the High Commission.
