Secondary and higher education authorities have extended the holiday for schools and colleges till 30 May in bid to contain the coronavirus infection among the students.
Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) issued directives in this regard on Wednesday.
Following the coronavirus outbreak in the country, the government shut down all educational institutions across the country on 18 March.
The DSHE asked the students to stay home to avoid the virus infection.
It also suggested students from class-VI to class-X to attend the education programme circulated on television and on social media.
On the other hand, it added, the respective college authorities would continue to run distance learning programme under their self management.
