Tripura government on Tuesday evening announced its decision to recruit the 10,323 terminated teachers.
State law and education minister Ratan Lal Nath informed this while interacting with the media at the civil secretariat.
Ratan Lal Nath said these teachers will be recruited in group ‘C’ and group ‘D’ posts in various departments in a phased manner.
“However, these teachers will compete with others aspirants and they will only get age relaxation,” he added.
“There will be no separate process of recruitment for retrenched 10,323 teachers,” he added.
“We will recruit altogether ten thousand people at the rate of two thousand per year because of restrictions imposed by the finance department,” he added.
“An institute will be launched for recruitment and the retrenched teachers along with other candidates will be allowed to appear in the exam with age relaxation benefit,” Nath added.
“There is no immediate solution for 10,323 teachers. If the teachers cannot pass in the tests, they may be then outsourced into various departments,” he added.
“We are committed to 10323 in humanitarian angle. A historical decision has been taken by the state cabinet,” he further said.
It may be mentioned here that in March this year, 10,323 teachers were sacked from their jobs following a Supreme Court verdict that nullified their appointment.
Since then, the teachers have been demanding an alternative employment opportunity. Source: NE NOW NEWS
