‘A large number of students cannot reach the campus because of lack of transport’
Visva-Bharati on Monday postponed all exams slotted from July 10, revoking its June 2 order to its UG and PG final-semester students to reach campus from June 28 onwards for exams.
Many teachers and students’ outfits SFI and ABVP had objected to holding the exams physically amid the pandemic.
Varsity exams apart, the school certificate exam 2020 has been postponed. All students have been asked to stay off campus till further notice.
“A large number of students told us they can’t reach the campus because of lack of transport. Many students live abroad. The varsity finally understood that the June 2 order asking student to report to the campus starting June 28 was not justified and it was cancelled,” said a senior varsity official.Source: Telegraphindia
