Community News Desk: Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei Darussalam on Sunday (Dec 4) hosted the Bangladesh Festival of Food and Culture 2022 in collaboration with Radisson Hotel Brunei and Brunei Food Awards.
The first event is Bangladesh street food festival 2022organised by Brunei Food Awards and Bangladesh High Commission which was held in De’Green Sylhet Restaurant, Bandar Seri Begawan with a presence of Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Tutiyati Binti Haji Abdul Wahab, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism as a guest of honour on Sunday (Dec 4).
Also present to celebrate the event are Abel Guterres, Ambassador of Timor –Leste in Brunei Darussalam, Alok Amitabh Dimri, High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam and Nasir Latif, CEO of Brunei Food Awards, said a press release of the Bangladesh High Commission.
The street food festival were participated by 7 Bangladeshi Restaurant to showcase their signature Bangladeshi cuisines and variety of food during the Bandarku ceria alongside of the road which includes from De’green Sylhet Restaurant and Catering, Santinur SdnBhd Restaurant, Baisakhi Restaurant, Mita and Mehedi Restaurant & Catering, Saiba Jaya Restaurant, Osman Ghani Restaurant and Haider restaurant and catering.
Also the same day, held the second event of the official launching of Bangladesh Festival of Food & Culture 2022 at Tasek Braisserie, Radisson Hotel.
High government officials from Brunei, ambassador and high commissioner from different countries based in Brunei attended the event.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam Nahida Rahman Shumona and other dignitaries witnessed the ribbon cutting ceremony to marks the starting day of Dinner Promotion of Bangladesh Festival of Food & Culture 2022 at the hotel.
Ambassadors and High Commissioners from India, UK, Iran, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia, Canada, France, Thailand, Pakistan, Timor –Leste and Alok Amitabh Dimri were present.
The best dish award of The Bangladesh Street Food Festival 2022 judging awarded to De’Green Sylhet Restaurant and Catering for their Beef Biryani, 2nd Place for their Mishti dish awarded to Mota and Mehedi Restaurant and 3rd Place comes from Santinur Restaurant for their Katla Fish Curry and Baisakhi Restaurant for their Shorisha Eli’s dish.
Bangladesh Festival of Food and Culture 2022 event with a collaboration with Radisson Hotel Brunei also began a 4 days dinner buffet promotion starting from Sunday (Dec 4) until December 7 from 6.30pm until 10.00pm.
By serving a selection of Bangladeshi cuisines and menus at Tasek Braisserie, Radisson Hotel, all public are welcome to dine in there and taste the richness and menus of the Bangladeshi food prepared by Radisson Hotel’s chef by make a reservations and advance booking contacting Radisson Hotel at +673 2244272.
