Bangladesh News Desk: The price of US dollar has declined to some extent in the last two days. But dollar is being traded at much higher prices in the open market compared to prices fixed by the Bangladesh Bank.
Information was leant from different money exchanges and traders involved in selling and buying dollars.
The dollar price was lastly fixed at TK 87.50 by Bangladesh Bank on Monday (May 16).
For the first time, the dollar price rose to Tk 102 per dollar in the open market just next day after the fixation of dollar price by Bangladesh. At the same time, there was dollar crisis in the market.
In the last two days, the dollar price decreased to some extent after abnormal hike.
It is learnt that dollar is being sold at Tk 97 to Tk 98 in the open market on May 19 (Thursday). Businessmen are selling dollar at this price, although they (businessmen) are buying dollars from people at Tk 96 to Tk 96.59.
