Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The Twin City of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack reported three COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours-two in Bhubaneswar and 1 in Cuttack.
Of the two cases in Bhubaneswar, one is 39-year-old male from Jaydev Vihar near Mayfair Hotel with travel history to Mumbai and another is 30-year-old male of Saranpalli, Ward-26. He had come in contact with an earlier positive case, who was a service provider of a private hospital.
With this, the total number of positive cases in the state capital rose to 198, including 96 active cases. While 98 patients have recovered here, three succumbed to the virus.
“Further contact tracing is underway. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance,’ said the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
In Cuttack district, out of three cases detected in last 24 hours, one belongs to Cuttck City (CMC area). The patient is a 23-year-old male from Jhanjir Mangala area with recent travel history to Chennai.
The total count of COVID-19 cases in the Cuttack City rose to 30, including eight active cases. While 21 patient have recovered, one died due to the virus.
