UNB: Malaysia agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment of Bangladesh for the recruitment of Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia.
Malaysian Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan said the Bangladeshi workers’ admission would be implemented immediately after the signing of the MoU.
According to him, the recruitment sectors are plantations, agriculture, manufacturing, services, mining, quarrying, construction and domestic servants.
“With regard to the safety measure, the Human Resources Ministry will cooperate with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the National Security Council to refine Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) for admission of foreign workers,” he said in a statement on Friday.
