Nuhash Humayun holding Best Horror film award from ‘Hollyshorts Film Festival’ and the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) award
The horror short film ‘Moshari’ has bagged two awards recently.
The film won Best Horror film at the Oscar-qualifying ‘Hollyshorts Film Festival’. The film was among the top 8 films in the entire competition.
‘Moshari’ also won Best Short Fiction at the Oscar-qualifying Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF).
The film is based on a dystopian setting where the world is invaded by bloodthirsty creatures. The last of mankind resides in Dhaka, Bangladesh, spending nights inside Moshari, a traditional mosquito net, to protect them from unknown catastrophe.
Directed by Nuhash Humayun, the film was released on March 13, this year, while it has a runtime of 22 minutes.
Sunerah Binte Kamal and Nuhash Humayun’s niece Onora Saif played as the star cast in this movie.
Previously, ‘Moshari’ also won the Jury’s Choice award at the Bucheon International Film Festival in South Korea.
The film had also previously won the jury award at the SXSW Film Festival in the USA, and the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival in Switzerland.
