The death tally from coronavirus in Bangladesh reached 3,941 on Sunday with the death of 34 more patients in the last 24 hours, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Besides, in the last 24 hours, 1,973 people tested positive for Covid-19 and the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 2,98,598.
A total of 3,524 patients have made full recovery from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours and the total number of recoveries reached 1,79,091.
Coronavirus was first reported in China’s Wuhan province in December last year and later it spread across the globe rapidly.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus a pandemic on March 11.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8.
